This record contains a number of extended episodes in which speed
appears to be below threshold. On recovery, the meter's Savonius
rotor did not turn freely. It is thus likely that the below-threshold
episodes were caused by a stiff rotor. These portions of the speed
record have been removed from the file. It is possible that some of
the remaining speeds, especially those toward the end of the record,
are lower than than they should be. Five below-threshold episodes
were removed:
